The Europe based Client provides online sports betting services, with features that make sports betting research available to its clients. The client had proposed to develop a website for comparing odds .The site should  provide based on the live feeds, real time features, so that  bets can be placed  knowing that the odds  chosen are not only favorable at that moment, but historically too.

The major challenge that we faced while developing this site was how to get data from other sites so that all odds could be shown in different scenarios. The designing of the site was also a challenge as the client was very particular about Alignment of controls &other design issues etc, Database of the site gets quite heavy with time.

In order to get data from different sites we created a web service that fetches data from other sites in XML format and then we parse this data & save it in our site database for showing odds in different scenarios. We used pixel ruler to solve design related issues. To stop database growing large, we shifted the data of the expired/already happened events to another database so that only data of events which are supposed to happen is there.
